Seen at lunch today at the Stanford University cafe. Good marketing with a call to action.

And so, right after lunch… see below for the next photo on my roll…

  1. We went to one of my secret passages, the underground tunnel to the library:

…passing the knowledge to the next generation. The grating to gain access to the tunnel that leads to the HVAC room drop, with its door to the stairway to the attic and roof… it still works 23 years later… as we verified today =)

Since my last visit, when were were held siege on the roof by the police for a bit, but escaped through the same tunnel (like Hogan’s Heroes), they have added a chain and padlock, but, shhhhhhh…

just like the gates that keep cars from driving up to the Dish, they are easily overcome with a bit of child-like ingenuity…

  2. Funny. I was in the (legitimate) tunnels there on Wednesday & Thursday. It’s a whole other world, populated by the very busy Morlocks that make the place function.

  3. That was the easy part! The 30"-diameter concrete tunnel really freaked me out. Especially when there’s someone in front of and behind you, and you’re moving v-e-r-y slowly in complete darkness. Dropping into the HVAC room was a huge relief. I never knew I was claustrophobic until that day.

What…no water balloons on today’s visit?

  4. I know nothing
    I hear nothing
    I see nothing

  5. Mocha or Latte?
    Go gopher go!

  6. I’ve got that sign over the espresso machine in my kitchen. Words to live by!

  7. Funny one! shhh Laughing Loud, very cool! 🙂

  8. @~BostonBill~ : I recall Sgt. Schultz being in front of me, and three monkeys behind me. Which one were you?
