Thanks to Creative Commons, board game designers can quickly source a large pile of images. Here are some of mine that will be in the forthcoming bilingual California edition of GiftTRAP.

From the first edition, I can say it’s an unusual game of empathy that appeals to a wide range of ages and genders.

It’s also fun to stumble across photos you recognize from flickr friends.

  1. That is fun!

By bilingual, I assume that this means with Spanish.

  2. ¡Si!

At full size, you can see the Spanish text on the right side of each card.

  3. Yes, I was looking at the full size while you wrote this note.

Do you realize that all the photos here that are of you have a few things in common? All four are very representative of part of who you are.

-You are in an unusual science or technology context.
-Your head (in 3 photos) is surrounded by a capsule of some kind.
-Your body is enclosed in an atypical encasement.
    -You are being experimental.
    -You are having FUN!
-You are showing your great curiosity and enthusiasm for science, technology and life.

  4. I think I have a picture or two in that game.. haven’t seen it in person, though.

  5. I have one picture in the original game:
    Space-age purses

  6. In the game, they are the potential gifts you evaluate for yourself and others. You rank a collection of possible gifts and then try to do the same for the other players… and then you see how well you know them and what they want.

  7. Like a rocket or anything related to space for you? It would be quite easy to guess in your case but for many people, it would be an asset to have such cards to know them. Sounds like fun.
