I just found this cute little bird in the bedroom.
I have no idea how she got there.

  1. She is a messenger. See, she´s telling you something! =)))

  2. But what? As if to make the point, I caught a different bird just after reading this… and she just sat on my open hands, perhaps to get warm.

  3. Last year my mother had to put out several birds who liked her inside plants. She says chickadees try to peck their way out of her hands with their sharp pointy little beaks.

  4. We used to live in a narrow house with lots of tall windows, built up the side of a ravine. Hummingbirds and other small birds flew in regularly, and they hid out on windowsills that were unreachable, practically speaking (as in needing a 15-foot ladder to put a dish of sugar water out). It seemed wrong not to, though, so I’d leave food for them as close as I could, and open as many more windows as I could til they flew away.

All of which is to say: good on you!

  5. Magic hands. 😀

She was saying that you have magic hands, I presume for her looks. She must have sent her buddy later on to ratify the statement.

We know you have a magnet for winged-creatures… e.g. moths.

  6. St-Francis of (…)! You are fortunate to attract these little friends.

  7. having little birds visit is always sure to make one’s day:)
i had this little guy drop by to say hi recently…he was learning how to fly, took a few flaps and ended up landing on my head!!!

    you feelin' lucky, punk?

  8. Why, it ((s)he) came in to take a nap, of course.

To undestand her, you need to taste some Dragon blood first 😉

    Ist mir doch fast,
als sprächen die Vöglein zu mir!
Nützte mir das des Blutes Genuß?
    Das seltne Vöglein hier,
    horch, was singet es mir?

  10. Eppie is extremely wise and, in my opinion, correct in all that she says, (so I do not find your words weird at all Eppie). Being one with nature is not easy. As I said above: "St-Francis of (…)! You are fortunate to attract these little friends". Not everyone has this connection with animals, little creatures in your case. As in anything, one can find a spiritual meaning to the most basic events in our lives (they are the ones that have true meaning) and see how they can teach us to be a better person, live a better life, and experience a deeper spirituality (not religion!!) in the sense of our relationship with our soul. Good words, Eppie! Two very smart people here, both of you!
