It came from space: a 33kg rock from Asteroid Vesta and a rocket that flew on SpaceShip One

For a sense of scale, the 5.5″ tall rocket is special too: it flew on the SpaceShip One space shot.

Eric Lindbergh is the artist (grandson of Charles Lindbergh), and it was flown on the maiden flight of the first private commercial space vehicle. It served as a payload weight, to simulate the presence of an astronaut on the unmanned suborbital test flight.
