Congrats to The Boring Company for their unanimous approval to expand the Vegas Loop to bypass the soul deadening traffic snarls.

The network will consist of 29 miles of tunnel and 51 stations, covering a significant part of the city (map below). It is a point to point system, meaning the Tesla takes you straight to your destination without stopping along the way.

Coincidence that the TBM they will use for this particular project comes up out of the ground just like the sandworms? Source: boringcompany.com/prufrock

  1. From Clark County, Nevada, all atwitter

  2. thanks Steve great information as always

  3. Whole system is exclusively for Tesla taxis? ps: what happens if there’s a fire in a vehicle in a tunnel (ref: Mont Blanc tunnel fire 1999 – en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mont_Blanc_tunnel_fire ) – not being negative, just pointing to an obvious nightmare scenario in all tunnels…these bing very narrow one-way passages > poses an interesting safety/evac problem…

  4. They include evacuation and air handling like any tunnel. And remember, Tesla’s catch fire less often than internal combustion engine vehicles.

  5. Hey now! The soul soul deadening traffic snarls give you an amazing opportunity to appreciate the visual appeal of the night skyline. And also suck in the freshly squeezed juice from the engine air presses.
