I started collecting Apollo artifacts in 2009, a few months after first investing in SpaceX. In retrospect, most of the items are from RR Auction, closely followed by Heritage and then a scattering of infrequent purchases from Nate Sanders, Lunar Legacies, eBay and the big auction houses (Sotheby’s and Christie’s) and a few directly from the astronauts or other collectors. My simple generalization is that RR is best for hardware, Heritage for signed documents and Christies for meteorites.
So, I am especially excited about this week’s RR Auction. After the first week of bidding, I notice a number of unopened items. These are all of the hardware items currently available for a $200 opening bid:

I am also curious if pointers to them in a place like this makes a difference. If you see a bid, maybe it did. 🙂
