I also spent some time with Lunar Module Pilot (LMP) Ed Mitchell in 2012, with the primary goal of obtaining his signature on the Apollo tribute to SpaceX that I was putting together.
He signed: “The beginning of an entirely new era! — Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 LMP.”
It hangs in the central entry hall of SpaceX HQ today.
