The building was designed by Frank Gehry and the binoculars by artist Claes Oldenburg. We met inside the right barrel, and it opens up to the sky; I suggested they add convex mirrors to enlarge a spot of the night sky.

And I was impressed by the pace of progress in their gate model quantum computers. I can’t disclose the details, but let’s just say that for 2019, the doubling time of computational-equivalent-progress is measured not in years… or months… but days! Stay tuned.

  2. The old Chiat Day office. Their new office down there is a giant warehouse retrofitted with bright yellow painted ship container villages… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binoculars_Building >> clivewilkinson.com/portfolio_page/tbwa-chiat-day-los-ange… Had some weird (i.e., wheels coming off the company) advertising meetings Circa Net 2.0/2000 in the latter.
