My space buddy Erik Charlton and astronaut Ed Edward Lu took a backstage tour of the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum conservation labs, where they have the batch of Neil Armstrong artifacts that he brought back from the lunar module Eagle, contrary to protocol, and recently discovered in his closet at home. Not yet on display at NASM, and other goodies.
