I see the strangest stuff across the street. Last night, it was the AirDog drone playing “follow me” in a speed test with the cyclist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmfqkh-qF8U
When I heard the team speaking to each other, I thought it sounded familiar. They are all from Latvia, and I just returned from neighboring Estonia on Sunday night. This is a custom drone that they were testing as it tracked the bicyclist’s wristband at full downhill speed.
It has a gimbaled GoPro camera that gives a steady-cam effect; as the drone tilts to follow him, or adjusts to buffets of wind, the gimbal compensates to stay locked on the target.
Do this little doggie drone loves to play “follow me”, and I think they should add the “roll over” feature from the Parrot AR drones. More photos below, and http://airdog.com
