Google just announced that they are buying Nest for $3.2B

Google “AdSense” takes on a whole new meaning… From I’m feeling lucky to I’m feeling hot… 😉

  4. P.S. Google laid it all out in 2005… The cloud at the bottom reads "weather control". Next up (with a splash of machine learning), the hexagon reads "100% Accurate Weather Forecasts"

  8. So I assume we will want to upgrade our meters at some point – or get rid of them. That seems obvious. Of course in this game getting rid of something entirely is an upgrade of sorts. I’m also not sure how proprietary and political the humble electric meter is. I would guess it is a plentiful, patchworked planetary-wide plethora.
