Although the frame sequence below may not look it…

It was a complete success on the Fourth of July! Major Tom had this great idea at DairyAire, and we have been waiting for the right time to test it. Parallel igniters connected to the motor and the downward facing boosters at the mid section. The side igniter was a special surprise as well, as it was dipped in flourinated magnesium. We tilted them slightly inward to miss the fins and went with a shorter 4 second delay on the green G motor to compensate for the extra weight and drag. The timing was perfect. It arced over the golf course, popped the chute and then started the smaller bursts overhead.

It landed on the tennis courts where Russian tourists were playing. The Russian kids brought the rocket back to us. Surreal.

A normal sized igniter does not look so special… until the Mag-Tef Viton creates a huge fireball:

"I will not launch my rocket at targets, into clouds, near airplanes, nor on trajectories that take it directly over the heads of spectators or beyond the boundaries of the launch site, and will not put any flammable or explosive payload in my rocket. I will not launch my rockets if wind speeds exceed 20 miles per hour. I will comply with Federal Aviation Administration airspace regulations when flying, and will ensure that my rocket will not exceed any applicable altitude limit in effect at that launch site."
