
As the end of the launch waiver approached, and the sun began to set, we rushed to set up the launch rail and prepare my 12 ft.-tall rocket for her maiden launch.
We armed the electronics and confirmed GPS lock with two wireless base stations. Then came the announcement to the flight line, and the inevitable butterflies during the countdown…
And then, a throaty roar into the sky and a cone of light… 70 ft. tall at this point, and growing… a delightful display to close the Saturday launches at BALLS.

The Matrix in the Matrix is thanks to PhotonQ in Paris. I was thinking of other rocket names, such as: The Red Pill, Splinter in your Mind, Trinity Test or Déjà Vu.
