With Tom Atchison and the upgraded rocket that the RocketMavericks team flew in the Black Rock Desert. Here’s a cool video summary, and in HD (you can see me digging the V-2 out of the crater in the background =)

I think my 2:45pm talk at this NewSpace conference will be webcast here. I have to go get my mic now…

    I <3 you too Chris!

Bill Nye: “Most reliable predictor of whether you will pursue a career in science is algebra. Teaching algebra should be cheap. We could change the world inexpensively.”

Tom – grew up inspired by Apollo. Felt that again with the SpaceX Dragon docking with the space station. (lots of applause). "There is a real drive in the inspiration of this last frontier."

“The only reason people doubt we went to the moon is that we are not still there.” – Rick Tomlinson, co-founder Space Frontier Foundation

  4. Aww, thanks. It was definitely the best talk of the day.

  5. Surely Bill was the funniest:

“I have taken I day job. I don’t know how you people do it. It just cuts into all of my personal time.”

Speaking to someone trying to ask a question:

“Tap, don’t blow. That’s my advice
In the case of a microphone.”

  6. To sj: your talk was the best talk indeed:)

  7. P.S. My NewSpace2012 talk just went online, but the audio is a bit out of sync. Bill Nye the science guy… We got a filming triangle going with Tom:
