The entrance to the OPF, where we got to crawl throughout the space shuttle Endeavour.

  1. Here are the things you see on the walk in… Starting with the Ops Desk.

    The bright washed out sign warns us that the Shuttle is powered up. A landing gear wheel can be seen over the black tool chest.

    We pass a "water deluge control" panel. There are 14 substances on the orbiter that can kill you, four of which are odorless.

    We walk past a nose peeking out, the first glimpse of the orbiter ensconced within…

    And then the airlock to the White Room… and puzzled looks from the ULA protocol droid wondering why our scruffy crew had access to every area inside the Shuttle.

    The room itself is covered in signatures, as its days are numbered.
