[http://www.flickr.com/photos/scleroplex] – Yeah, I dropped out of a tree a wee bit north of here, but still in Africa. =)

Or maybe the common ancestor wore a scarf…

"the danger of the baobabs is so little understood, and such considerable risks would be run by anyone who might get lost on an asteroid, that for once I am breaking through my reserve. "Children," I say plainly, "watch out for the baobabs!" — Le Petit Prince

The animals kicking up dust make for some surreal sunsets

  5. yep, "the danger of the baobabs" quote is the first one that came to my mind too…

  6. "This is the place of wildness
    Of evolution and dinosaurs
Where life began and mankind first stood
    Of living fossils and elephants
Where lions roar and springbok herds leap "

  7. +1 : Wonderful silhouette !

  8. ah, yes, it’s all the same. The scarf referred to the little prince quote that followed

  9. all the cool cats have scarves. Hopper too.

  10. Makes me want to watch the Madagascar movie again. Oh, I wish I could go to Africa and see where it all began. It must be so beautiful! I wonder if you can smell the earth wherever you go? That would be wonderful. The picture of the elephant makes me want to cry a little. She looks so confident in her home. I’ve only seen them in zoos.

  11. Beautiful picture! We used it here: Hottest destinations for 2013 – news.cheapflights.co.uk/hottest-destinations-for-2013-in-…
