Someone else found our parachute floating freely down range… and off it goes again for some gleeful testing in the winds that were picking up. The soundtrack to this image is “wheeeeeee….”
Although it ripped off at Mach 2.5 a few hours earlier, all it needed was a knot to fix a ripped shroud line.
The 1500-lb. swivel stretched into an elongated oval but did not break. Instead, the 1/4″ steel eyebolt (from the carbon fiber bulkhead) ripped apart. Sky Angle makes some tough parachutes!
