    Remind me of a video you have probably seen before, but just in case, of a battle between a pride of lions, a herd of buffalo, and 2 crocodiles at a watering hole in South Africa’s Kruger National Park while on safari.

  5. I’d heard 2nd hand unsubstantiated stories of lion going after other "big" game for food (elephant, buffalo, rhino, giraffe…) but never came across an actual occurence, so this would have been very rare where/when I was brought up.

    More usual were zebra, wildebeeste, and various gazelles like impala or thompson’s – and of course domestic goat, cattle, and dog when the occasion presented itself. You managed to hit a hat trick of really lucky jackpots on your trip

  6. yeah, amazing interactions and kin selection going on there… I had to watch it twice. Must say, those baby buffalo sure are tough!
