   P.S. I just learned from a marine biologist that this 40-ton whale expends 1,500 calories with each jump! That’s quite an exuberant display.

   Finally got out on that boat today, and not only did an eager jumper show off for us, a mama-baby pair came up and sideswiped our boat. Could have touched them… Whoa.
