after… I was doing the egging on, as I was the photographer – a great excuse for ducking out of peer pressure. =)
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/victor1/] Yeah, the bike is 15 years old and going strong. Perhaps the carbon fiber monocoque was too labor intensive, but I think it’s a great design. It’s hard to find a 24 lb. full suspension mountain bike, so I’m sticking with it.
And yeah, the CR-7 is your loaner bike for visits. Was that an ’88 model? Hard to find that metallic grey/black version online. Hey, and do you know any place where I can get replacement elastomer bumpers for the Tange Shockblades I put on there? Old school with a full 1" of travel… =)
heh…. I think it’s just that I don’t get enough exercise. 3 hrs of biking after a game of ultimate frisbee hit the spot. I have the seat so that my knees are just shy of fully extended on the down stroke, so I think it’s OK. Well, that and 15 years of riding it in the same position. =)
Heh, sometimes we ride 6 hrs from Si Valley to the ocean…. 3 hrs is just right. =)
And here’s what my body sensor recorded for the day (versus a 30 minute moderate activity goal):
I’m guessing the uphills are the yellow parts, flat to downhill is brown. Overall, less strenuous than ultimate frisbee… which surprised me at first, but then I realized that there is no way I could imagine playing Ultimate for 3 hours!
