The low-light capture of the backlight CMOS sensor (and f/2 optics) on the new Canon SD4000 pocket cam is pretty breathtaking. Yes, it’s noisy, but this would be a blue line on a black field with my other cameras (notice how the glow stick alone illuminates the playa)

  1. Focusing is hard in the dark. You can get less handshake by placing the camera on a firm surface.
