  1. Terrific!

    Please check my photos here

  2. Fantastic! I was at Epcot once when the shuttle took off once. That was a surprise.

Seen in my contacts’ photos. ( ?² )

  3. Very cool, love the magic in the air:)

  4. Unbelievable! Tinkerbell on her nightly flight over Disney castle, and this guy thinks he’s seeing a spaceship. (notice if you look closely how Tink passes *in front* of the spire. That proves that it couldn’t be a space ship.)

  5. Two little artifacts: 1: mirror-up jiggle at start of shot (skewed bottom of exhaust trail?, 2) chaser plane contrail intersecting top balcony of castle??

  6. Right on Tinkerbell!

  7. yeah – she’s still got the pixie dust

sbove – on 2) I’m guessing they cleared the airspace…. given the length of the streak, might it be a satellite, or better yet, ISS, passing by?

(or just a guide wire to escape the tower, like Pad 39A =)

  8. ISS did pass by, but 15 minutes before STS-131 launched, so can’t be in that shot. Was wondering how you got this picture – since the park isn’t open at 6:21am. Musta been Tinker Bell!!! Posted my photos at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/xb70man/sets/72157623663336581/

  9. This is the launch of discovery, the side view of the castle with the right side is the same direction as KSC, the line on the top tower is TB’s line, great shot, right place right time!

  10. Never been a naysayer, but I have been studying this photo for 30 minutes. First, this photo was taken by Kent Phillips, a Disney photographer. AKA "professional.", then why is there motion smear on the castle? See the disney page link at the bottom of this post for the credit. Second, this is not the shuttle. You can clearly see the outline of the "rocket" vehicle. The shuttle has two of these and even if they were in-line with each other for one exhaust stream, at this resolution, you should be able to clearly see the external tank AND the shuttle itself! Third, the geographic location is wrong, Compare the lauchpads at Kennedy in relation to the castle at Disney using Google Maps/Earth. It should have been originating at this angle from BEHIND the castle (further to the left from where it is.) Fourth, the scale is all wrong. I was in Titusville, less than 10 miles from the launch with a 300mm lens and the vehicle in my shots is just a speck at the front of the contrail. (see my sets) This "photo" was taken almost 60 miles further away and it appears clear as day?? My conclusion? Photoshopped rocket lauch over shaky image of Cinderalla castle. Not Discovery, Not Shuttle, Not real. Someone prove me wrong, please!
