Reanimating the Dead Poet Society

by taking 19th Century poems and setting them to song.

The TED video just went up. A musical muse for the weekend.

Don’t miss minute 20 onward where she serenades Bill Gates, curbs the enthusiasm, and tries to teach the audience how to clap better. =)

  1. There’s a TEDx event in Cardiff real soon featuring the lovely Tara Busch – I think you don’t need to be a leader of the free world to get into that one, so will see if I can fit it into the schedule … love Tara.

  2. What a mind-blowing performance – "wide ranging" doesn’t begin to describe it – from sweet to raucus. Thanks for posting – if you hadn’t drawn specific attention to it, I might have skipped this session as merely some entertainment laid on for TED attendees. This is a worthy TED speaker in her own right…

  3. So Bill Clinton inaugural.

  4. or her bday

    Natalie Merchant's Birthday

    jitze – agreed!

  5. Oh remembrances of other times… I still listen to Noah’s Dove often.

I must admit to you something… today I saw it available for translation, but I didn’t dare pick it… old poems, it’s too much a challenge to translate -oftentimes- especially having so little time as I do now. I requested to review another talk. I felt a little ashamed, even when having reasons. It’s good to speak it up. I feel lighter now. 🙂

I will watch the talk now, tho. Yarr!!!
