I almost destroyed the orange & black one — known as the “electric pumpkin” — during some new vehicle test drives this afternoon. =)

The new Tesla HQ building is 350,000 sq ft. in Stanford Park, surrounded by green hills and horses. I don’t think I have toured a new space this cavernous.

  1. Our family has a deposit down on the model S here in Canada! *can’t wait to almost destroy one too 😉

  2. Isn’t that the old HP Labs building on Deer Creek? I use to work in that building. The fab they added at the back had anti-vibration piers sunk into the ground to keep the semiconductor fab optics steady for metrology.

  3. Yes, and then spun out as Agilent. The clean room and underground maze of wet labs under deconstruction are like a scene from Resident Evil

There’s also a secret Batmobile underground garage entrance for stealthy concept car rides.

  4. i’d love to have the chance to destroy one… instead i’ll just wait for my car to destroy both my wallet and self.

  5. This guy really did destroy his. Well, actually someone else destroyed it for him. Poor guy. At least he could walk away.
