   Yes, a building-sized mural on the McDonalds in Lompoc, serving Vandenberg AFB.

   Jeez man, the cosmonaut I drew for Esthr’s patch was way better than that one! (modesty aside, really) They could have put some effort to it, don’t you think? I went into a photographic research to make the suit correct… 😉

   That one from the past photo at Cape Canaveral looks fairly better, at least that they *tried* to resemble the suit.

   I share your affection for Al Bean’s art, and spoke with him in person about it, but don’t fully agree with the hostility to this mural. It’s at a McDonalds after all. I don’t think the patrons expect a installation art exhibit, but something like the mural you might see at an elementary school, made by the kids. I think it’s better than a blank wall or a mural of Ronald, yes?
