  3. my reaction as well…. so hard to capture… It reminds me of an earlier attempt, as I was rediscovering rocketry five years ago, with Estes and my cousin’s film camera…

  6. Speaking of shooting the moon:

    Considering NASA’s plans to crater the moon tonight, what would be the minimum rocket needed to hit the moon? I’m wondering if an ICBM could be re-tasked for that kind of job. Super gun? Rail gun?

    What about a bunch of weather ballons + your V2.1 launched at high altitude?
