Oh, the excitement of animalistic voyeurism… =)

This bobcat was a frequent flier — making the first nighttime appearance at 5:25am, and several passes afterward. I think I’ll call this little cutie Chevron for the leg marking.

Taken by the fully autonomous critter cam with infrared strobe and IR sensors. This was literally the first capture on the cam, and my first feedback to adjust camera alignment and positioning.

I’ll post more night critters from the first 24 hours below.
It’s a zoo out there. =)

  3. Some of the IR flash is near-IR and I think that is partially visible to ’em

  4. I’m always amazed at the variety of animals we photograph on our ranch. About the only indigenous creature in Texas that we haven’t captured is a mountain lion but it is only a matter of time.
