  1. like a comic book punch… pow…

    Cat Slap

  2. Those are just love pats, right? Or she’s looking to pierce your ear. ;}

  3. That pink collar is ridiculously cute.

  4. That is why it is called wild…life!

I hope you were not hurt.

It must be so much fun to hold such a cat.

  5. Why not replace some genome with cat genes to make them more pleasant to hold?

  6. I love the punch photo! This here is just sneakily mild, hehe. Adorable!

  7. oh mah gah, who’s the cutest little thing???

  8. caitlin: She is a baby Geoffroy’s cat , a wild one from South America. Here are some more photos of this cub.

As she grows older, the spots will spread apart, as if stretched over a larger body. She has a strong tail and can sit upright on it.

mimosa: yes – it was magical!

j_silla: ’twas perfectly pleasant to me. And personality tweaks would be among the most complex to imagine. Removing a few dander proteins to make them hypoallergenic is a current quest. And my dog cloning friend is also considering novel colors, extended lifespan, double muscle, and other features.

P.S. the WSJ liked this photo too

  9. How would he do extended lifespans for the dogs, use the TA-65 method to grow back telomeres? Or would he use the Icelandic Cyprine gene, would it even have the Sirtuins, SIR2, P53, FOXO3A, MCAT, :)? You could suggest, that Even better would be to use the Turritopsis nutricula and grow them backwards to puppies, and then back to adults again. Until that happens I am happy with less allergies. 🙂

PS: just found this – nice joke? Anti Aging Firewalls "Humans normally live 3,600 times as long. It appears that many genes regulating aging have been conserved during the process of evolution" more "existence of complex additional genetic switching mechanisms that could contribute to or be part of an overall program of aging"

  10. Haha! This is so cheesy! I love it! Great job!

  11. jurvetson, oh I just meant in a boop-her-on-the-nose, "YOU ARE!" kind of way 😀

I find cats are extremely pleasant to hold, by the way, and it certainly looks like a good time is being had by all here. I guess the pleasantness is in the arms of the holder!

  12. Lolz! Both of you look so cute and irresistible.

  13. Gosh, lucky you!!! How very cute.

And thanks for your comments… I just realized I never added you. Well – added!!!

    Have a wonderful day!
