Steve Eves preps the electronics package for his 1600 pound, 36 foot tall, 1/10 scale Saturn V rocket.
He flew a perfect flight on Saturday at MDRA setting a record for the largest successful hobbyist rocket launch; photos here and below by Neil McGilvray from Rockets Magazine, major supporters of the project.
She lifted off on a cluster of nine motors: a central P10000 surrounded by eight N3800s, all burning solid Loki White AP propellant.
