   hope you enjoyed the powder. while it is not Squaw Valley, at the top of a local run the other night, we were getting a fresh layer as well. what we lack in terms of challenging trails, we make up for in convenience….from the time I leave my office in early afternoon, I can be on a lift in about 1/2 hr.

   Random fact: the squaw valley tram generates a good amount electrical power that gets dumped to the grid when the down-side car weighs more than the up. Significantly offsets the tram’s total electric bill. This kind of efficiency has been common in the european design ethos for generations…

   my buddy just returned from here….

   he said it was much better than we were out due to the 4 storms they had prior to his arrival……. indeed i was jealous of the fresh untracked powder they found!
