Pointing across Hulopo’e Bay toward the Four Seasons.

A Californian fireworks team brought two shipping containers with a variety of home brew pyrotechnic treats. We had fun comparing notes with rocketry and various crazy stuff they have done at Burning Man. (so they let me get close to the goodies)

They suggested that I might like going to a pyro convention. “They have those?!?” I asked excitedly. Sure enough, and the WPA Winter Blast is the next big one.

Happy New Years y’all…. Have a blast!

  1. Here, in Montréal, we have each year an international fireworks competition for several weeks. We see and hear it all from Saint-Lambert. You would love to visit the installations. A million dollars per show. We see on the news how it is set up, as here but more extensive. You would enjoy that.

    Bonne Année!

  2. You may have noticed that a lot of us have been having to sleep on the couch recently. I thought I should clue you in to what is really going on, before you get too enthused…

Happy New Year Steve. Can’t wait to see you when you get back on the mainland.

  3. Could the chemicals in the fireworks be bad for the fish?
