  1. Hola, soy el administrador de un grupo llamado Tu Foto Preferida / Your Preferred Picture y nos encantaría agregar esto al grupo.

  2. Pretty insane wind speed.

  3. Kind of like a rocket engine attached to the earth.

  4. Ms Rumpelstiltskin has beautiful hair here! How did she get out of her tower?

  5. I must confess annoyance with those irresponsible people who plant what is, in effect, a rocket engine into the ground, and thus induce a perturbation in Earth’s natural rotational movement, which may butterfly-ly lead to the necessity of introducing jarring leap seconds in what should be a smoothly running time continuum 😉

  6. heh… Experiments are underway in China…

When the Three Gorges Dam filled with 10 trillion gallons of water, it induced a wobble in the Earth’s rotation and a change in the length of the day.

  7. Yay, it’s a rare shot! Love the temporal streaks.

  8. What about firework competitions (as we have each summer in Montréal and all over the world), demolitions, implosions, explosions for ground excavations, war bombings etc? This here is harmless fun.

Cool. I suggest we use that huge dam to shift masses of water around and wobble Earth away from the trajectory of civilization-destroying asteroids that might come our way 🙂
Big earthquakes, which also induce wobbling, are unfortunately too unpredictable and uncontrollable to be used for asteroid avoidance…

Such explosive events last but a fraction of a second. Jet candles, OTOH, can burn for tens of seconds, which must mean that the time-energy integral of said candles’ kinetic effect on Earth must be an order of magnitude larger 😉

  10. nice one 🙂
just as well the wind didn’t change direction!

  11. Beautiful light and design!

  12. That’s a great shape, great trail of sparks.

  13. Brilliant shot, well done

  14. "2nd place Winner Flickr’s Weekly Theme Contest: Wind". Please post it to the pool.

    Congrats!
