This photo is the most poignant! From the perspective of a Westerner, the living conditions are deplorable. From this family’s point-of-view, they have luxury. They have a home!
An antenna atop the home extension (or is it a neighbour’s home?) suggests that the young man is watching television. Could that be?!
I love noticing all the details of this open house. We rarely get to see how people live, anywhere. This is not a photo in Architectural Digest yet we have the privilege of entering a private home and experiencing these people’s lives.
