This dissonant title came to me as I was trying to fall asleep…

I guess clean pigs should not be so surprising in a world without mud.

But then I noticed the instruments nearby…

  1. Pigies in wait for New Year celebration. Did you not try to let them go free?

  2. These instruments could be for pig food grinding, to fill the trough on the right. However we all know the pigies ultimate end. They seem content and worry free now.

    Happy New Year to all!

  3. This grinder brings back memories. My grandfather, on his farm in Estonia, used a similar grinder to grind up all our food waste products to feed the pigs. The pigs served as our organic waste recyclers, until they themselves were eaten, but not before giving birth to new recyclers.

  4. Such is the natural food chain!

If I were a pig, I would be uneasy lounging next to a meat grinder. I am glad they are oblivious to their destiny.
So, Steve, did you have roast pig during your vacation? (oops…too tempting)

As they wise proverb says: "Better pig in cage than thousand piggies flying across the sky…" (or across a Pink Floyd concert or screensaver)

Safer for the mind, at least. 😉

I like the "recyclers" concept. Nature is quite smart. We too when we can emulate.

Tony: Happy New year for you and all the family! We had the pleasure to see you lately in a photo with the son. Best wishes from the southest south! xo

  6. The group "trout fishing in america" has a very apropos song titled "prom night in pig" town that comes to mind when viewing this picture.
