Serendipity…
Isn’t Outdoor Photography a great magazine? I’ve been subscribing for a couple of years now and I really like it.
A very unusual crop of a much photographed scene….and it works really well. The sweep of the curve from bottom left, across the frame and back up towards top left adds a dynamism to the shot that may not be so effective in a wider pan. Instant fave!

quarterdome…better than most other full domes. Excellent. So cool that you got the trees in there for scale; often the valley floor forest doesn’t work as scale…the sparse treeline is perfection

Next month, an unprecedented photoshoot will take place in this valley. It’s the creation of the largest digital picture ever shot, using 18 gigapixel panorama rigs all fired off simultaneously, and then integrated into a 3D fly-through model. (Project site)
Thanks for the pointer Peter!
