   My FX-9 died about a month ago…. I haven’t gotten around to doing the disrobing yet.

   They just don’t last that long do they… Any good story behind the failure? For this FX-7, the lens stopped moving out on power up, which was a good failure mode for disassembly because all of the electronics and screen were intact…. =)

   Tragic. Somewhat reminiscent of HAL’s pleas in “2001: A Space Odyssey” while its modules were being deactivated and removed.
