Looking forward to testing the strap-on video cam next weekend at the LUNAR launch at Snow Ranch. I hope it can take the g forces of an H210 with this LOC Precison NORAD rocket and, then a behemoth K700 motor on the Telstar V2.0… We’ll see. To make the videocam cylinder more streamlined, I glued half of a plastic Easter egg on top. Seemed thematic for Easter weekend launches.
The white Scissor-wing rocket is ready to go. The glider is balanced. A small Estes C6 engine takes it up, and then ejects out the back, releasing the spring-loaded wing to pivot into glide position (seen here). NASA did research on supersonic scissor-wings for launch vehicle recovery.
Robosapien V2 successfully gave commands to a robot dog who dutifully obeyed.
