Looking forward to testing the strap-on video cam next weekend at the LUNAR launch at Snow Ranch. I hope it can take the g forces of an H210 with this LOC Precison NORAD rocket and, then a behemoth K700 motor on the Telstar V2.0… We’ll see. To make the videocam cylinder more streamlined, I glued half of a plastic Easter egg on top. Seemed thematic for Easter weekend launches.

The white Scissor-wing rocket is ready to go. The glider is balanced. A small Estes C6 engine takes it up, and then ejects out the back, releasing the spring-loaded wing to pivot into glide position (seen here). NASA did research on supersonic scissor-wings for launch vehicle recovery.

Robosapien V2 successfully gave commands to a robot dog who dutifully obeyed.

  1. Ha ha! Love the Apple/Ansari combo sticker…. Wait…. Are you working some deal we don’t know about? A merger??? (You heard it here first folks)

Go to space, Citizen! In white plastic and brushed aluminum! Listen to good tunes on the way!

Q: "Hey, why is there only one button in the cockpit?"

A: "Because we know better than you do where you want to go and how you want to get there. Trust us. We wear black turtle-necks."

  2. can’t wait to see pics of the K700!!

  3. I hate to tell you what I thought when I read "Looking forward to testing the strap-on video cam next weekend…" 🙂

  4. The half of a plastic Easter egg for aerodynamics is brilliant…
