When I sat down across from Les Vadasz yesterday, I noticed something different โ€” his first Mac. As an Intel co-founder (badge #3), he was the design manager for the world’s first DRAM, EPROM and microprocessor.

I had to ask, with a bit of a snicker: โ€œSo, did you finally get to buy the computer youโ€™ve always dreamed of having, now that thereโ€™s Intel inside?โ€

Les: โ€œYouโ€™re god damn right!โ€

I work for a company that buys several thousand Dell PCs each year. I’m due for a new laptop this spring; I wonder if I can convince the powers-that-be to let me get a MacBook Pro?

  6. I agree with mightyb – the thing in his hand looks like the little nub you can stick on a PowerBook/MacBook adapter if you want to shorten the cable length.

  7. I agree with mightyb and dylanneild. I like to call it the little "duck head" plug. ๐Ÿ˜‰
