
No footsteps in the sand today in Half Moon Bay. Every once in a while a wave would cross the sandy berm and slam into the bluffs (surprising a jogger friend of mine).
Now I understand the SF paper’s headline: In a word, gnarly.
“The Coast Guard doesn’t tell people to stay off the beach very often, but that’s the word for the next few days, as waves as high as 22 feet are expected to crash along the shore. Scrambling on rocks and walking near the water’s edge are very bad ideas, according to the hazardous weather advisory issued Friday. “
