No footsteps in the sand today in Half Moon Bay. Every once in a while a wave would cross the sandy berm and slam into the bluffs (surprising a jogger friend of mine).
Now I understand the SF paper’s headline: In a word, gnarly.

Scrambling on rocks and walking near the water’s edge are very bad ideas, according to the hazardous weather advisory issued Friday. “
