This my zoom zoom room with the 2300mm setup I used in the prior photo. If it used lenses instead of mirrors, it would be 3x longer. Even with the folded fat form-factor, it is very sensitive to vibration, so I use the remote shutter and motorized tripod.
Ah, so this is how you use your bathtub! You can get fantastic views but I guess not while soaking.
I suppose that you do not go on walks with this equipement.
How well can you see the planets with this lens?

The Meade ETX-125 is a very nice and affordable piece of glass. I’ve heard of people taking deep space photos with 5 minute open shutter times. That’s impressive – are the servo motors really that smooth to track w/out distortion?

coincidentally, your image of the moon in the other thread led me to this pic and i was just looking into getting this telescope.
when i spoke to someone at the store yesterday, they said that to take photos, i would need to connect my DSLR to the telescope via a USB cable, but from your photo, it looks like you can attach it to get a direct shot through the lens. also, the review in Amazon mentions a "Straight through photographic port" which sounds like your setup above…i’m just wondering if the person at the store didn’t know what they were talking about… 🙂
