  1. Yup… stone cold thought bubbles.

    Rolling these super-strong magnets along the kitchen counter led to the most unusual trajectories. When they cross a small grain of magnetite in the granite, they would snap into place. Magnetite (Fe3O4) is the most magnetic of all the minerals on Earth, and is sprinked throughout most igneous rocks. I had never noticed the richness of granite with weaker magnets.
