They can be incredibly loud. Next time you’re in Santa Cruz, go to the end of the pier and look in the observation ‘holes’. They jump out of the water and land on the rafters – piles of them – and sleep there. In the morning its big howling festival.
They’ve started barking up here, and are building body barges with upturned bellies full of Spring Salmon:)great image, wonderful time of year to see them in blue Steve, tanks!
