Rocketeer: This was a no limit Texas Hold’Em elimination tournament. So we all started with the same number of chips, and the top six players won prizes. I got an LCD TV.
(Ross captured a pivotal moment when there were only two or three tables left. I had only ~$14K of coin in front of me. About an hour later, it was a ~million dollar pile. In the final hand, there were three of us, betting to the river. There was a K on the table and low cards that could not make a flush or a straight. R.J. had the best opening hand (pocket aces) and went all-in. Tim also went all-in as did I. I was holding K,3 which formed 2 pair with the K,3 on the board to beat the pair of aces.)
This was the fourth time that I have played a game of poker, and I can see what all the excitement is about. Texas Hold ‘Em has emerged recently and has become wildly popular, taking over 80% market share of all poker games.
