  1. Did you use the special multi shot feature on the camera? Perfect timing.

  2. nope, all of my LUNAR photos are auto-mode single shots. I got the timing down through repetition and experimentation. There were a LOT of launches at this event, and so I could practice as much as I wanted. At first, I went with sound cues, but then I found better results looking for a good visual with the 2.5" LCD (this is more of a reflex reaction, but seeing the smoke suddenly fill the frame was better than listening for ignition). In the end, I could capture the moment in frame about 70% of the time.
