Leif Eriksson’s dad called it “Greenland” as a marketing ploy to recruit volunteers from “Iceland” to his ship.

  1. Leif den lycklige (the happy) Eriksson.

  2. Let me try to guess. Westbound Lufthansa Airbus A340 to SFO ?

  3. Steffe: what is the happy story?

nhr: close. Westbound A340. But it’s SAS from Copenhagen to Seattle. The coolest feature in this configuration is that the bathrooms have windows! What a great idea. =)

  4. Rats 🙂
At that altitude and bearing (visible on the instrumentation) above Greenland, I was fairly sure it was headed for the West coast, and given your home location, I made the assumption that SFO was the final destination, and there aren’t that many airlines with A340s flying directly from Europe to San Francisco.

The windows provide great illumination for people who like to comfortably settle in their bathroom with a newspaper 😉
