  1. Once more into the birch!

  2. Very nice! Reminds me of here…but where are the cats…geese?

  3. They have fallen…. from a game of sticks & stones….

I see the fusilade of arrows from Hero on the left and a row of planted pikes on the right….

  4. Just like the paintings of Paolo UCCELLO La Battaglia di Campaldino and La Battaglia di San Romano and The Hunt in the Forest
How clever of you to see it, Vasari would be proud

  5. Were the Arboral Battle Lines seen closer to San Gregorio or Pescadero? Or San Mateo State Beach? They appear too dense to have been related to 17 miles, Pebbles and visions of Carmel (?) n’est pas?

  6. Z – wow. you have an amazing visual memory. How did you find that similar tree shot?

This photo is from the marine reserve near Moss Beach. POST is also protecting coastline near there.

  7. Thank you J – This is a photo of my garden, going towards the woods. I took it last March, I had it in my "visual cache memory"!

It is so encouraging that they are preserving that amazing area. Havn’t been there, but done most of the coast and swum in Half Moon Bay…

  8. I love this picture. Somthing that I would capture and just this way. Its such a treat.

  9. Inspiring photo. I can see what Zenera means with Uccello. Myself, I thought of the battle of Crecy and English longbowmen…

  10. A lovely path through the woods, beautiful!

  11. Makes me think that this would be the daylight shot of the place where headless horsemen race through the forests with the full moon shining!
