  1. Wait, isn’t that EARLY? Egads! Nice shot though. You even got a bee!

  2. Beautiful shot Steve! Nice timing with the bee too. 😀

  3. Not early for No Cal. They only really get a month or so of Winter. No fall season to speak of either. Sort of a 8 month long Spring really.

    I really like the light in this shot. There is no direct sunlight to overexpose the flowers or surrounding background and it has a nice effect against the white flowers.

  4. I agree with all the above… this is a favorite for me. Excellent job, Steve!

  5. A hyper reality. ‘-}

  14. I was going to post the same thing as my paisano: great detail and color.

    Are these cherry flowers?

  15. merci beaucoup.

    Nell: I thought they were cherry blossoms, but our cherry trees have not even started blooming yet. So it may be a different type of cherry blossom, or perhaps plum. I am no expert on these matters.

    I can identify the bee though! =)

  16. another great bee shot – I’m jealous, our late winter is still far from over and the hives are all hibernating so no new bee macros from me for some time – I’ll stick to the ice formations…

  17. this is a really beautiful capture. i was wondering if you might be able to de-noise a bit and turn down the sharpening?

  18. It’s so good with the blue too – it just adds to the vividness of the white petals. Lovely.
