  1. It’s the inside of some type of industrial machine component. It looks to have a smooth polished bowl around the edges with a wire mesh and hub/spoke bottom.

Either that or a blinged out pair of 22" rims found on an SUV ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. is wine or beer making involved?

  3. …could be a good title:
    "bling bling reverie"

  4. Yes, I thought the red discoloration on the mesh was rust, but on second guess and one Google Search of "Reverie", I’m guessing it’s a wine filtering container found here.

  5. My first guess was the inside of a highly polished flour sifter

  6. Shannon Clark is right… that’s what it looks like to me too. It is similar to the one on this site.

  7. Excusez-moi. Beyond what the object is… Is this picture upside down taken while drawning the object in liquid? This is: the half upper part of the picture is in fact a reflection of the object -dry yet- (down part of photo)

  8. something to do with wheels?

  9. I’m with shannon on this one

  10. To me it looks like a really elaborate cowboy boot. lol

it does seem to have snake skin or lizard skin or some kind of skin…

  11. Wow. I go to a dinner party and miss a lot of action. Bingo Shannon, a new puzzle solver.

Rocketeer’s link shows the object, with a camera angle over the lid. Slight variations in the camera position would create a gallery of fluid reflections.

Eppie and Billy (in his first comment) were right about the curved/distored reflection.

This puzzle was identified by a young boy who brought the sifter to me and said "look. This would be a good puzzle for Flickr"

  12. awwww! That’s so cool!

  13. Yea!! I got this one without scrolling down!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    :::going for more:::

  14. ha, i came to fave this and lo and behold, i already had… ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. It’s a flour sifter
