What’s this, or what do you want it to be? Related to Leaf Points.

  1. I think definitely microscopic, but not sure what. Plant cell?

  2. One thousand city streets, and three freeways.

  3. Detail of a fruit peel or surface. Or some frozen/crystallized material.

  4. I like Vanita’s answer, what it is, I don’t know. What it looks like to me, is some kind of vascular blueprint. But I don’t know how much sense that makes since some of the "veins" end. And they’d just go on woudn’t they… In conclusion: I’ll get back to you. Need clues! Where’s Alieness??

  5. Partial credit to Old Cola (with a strange echo from the Georgians). It is part of a leaf, and it shows some detail, but most of the leaf is missing. OldC is fast – getting in under an hour….

iv0 is spot on. It is a vascular blueprint of veins.

It is a maple leaf, etched with some leftover equipment from the semiconductor industry. The bulk of the leaf mass is delicately removed, leaving the network of veins.

    Here is the bigger picture.

I like Vanita’s answer the most…. A bit of an urban planner’s nightmare, if you look at it in that light. Isn’t Houston famous for its historical lack of zoning, leading to some random development?

Even if I only give OldCola partial credit for some of his answers, the French have now have a lead in the puzzle Olympics, with Puerto Rico in second, and Argentina, Canada, and the U.K. tied for third. =)

  6. No wonder the veins don’t continue… it’s a leaf 😀

  7. I missed out on this one… but yes, Houston is famous for the non-zoning. Saw a strip club within a block of a church and school last time I was there.

  8. When the unregulated market speaks… what is it telling us?

  9. farmlands on my world in the dying light of sunset, as a low orbit hover drone makes it’s rounds inspecting the cells for possible infection.

  10. ok you both lost me there… errr

  11. Troy is an alien. Just nod, bow and back away slowly.

As for me, I am perplexed by the Houston marketplace experiment…. Of all possible tenants bidding for the space near the church, the strip club is able to pay the highest price…. 😉

  12. Terrific detail. I like the abstraction mixed with familiarity.
